Do I need a Home Inspection of the house I am buying.

Absolutely!  Only in rare cases is a Home  Inspection of the property waived (most often with new construction).  A good Inspector is worth his/her weight in gold.  Many property owners are not aware of some problems they have with their own homes.   An Inspector will crawl into the crawl space, check electrical and check the attic, not to mention a few.  They are trained to recognize potential signs of problems.

Not only will an inspection report give you more information in makiing your decision on whether to proceed with the purchase, but often creates an oppoutunity for you to ask for further concessions from the Seller. A recent inspection overviewed by The Doner Group found miscellaneous issues that transalted into well over $6000.00 negotiated concessions from the Seller to our Buyer!  Many Real Estate Agents have their favorites, but make sure it is for the right reasons.  An unsrupulous Agent may want an inspector to downplaw major problems, fearing you won't purchase the property.  A good agent will work to make sure all information is available to you to make an informed decision.  The inspectors we work with at The Doner Group know we want the truth.  So always get an inspection!  Call us if you have questions.
