What is the best search engine to use looking for properties on the internet in the Puget Sound region?

The short answer to that is any Northwest Multiple Listing (NWMLS) supported website. What that means, is you want to use a website that updates directly from the NWMLS data base. So browse the different local Real Estate Company’s websites. Find the one that has the search parameters that you like the best, ease to use, etc.
Do I need a Home Inspection of the house I am buying.

Absolutely! Only in rare cases is a Home Inspection of the property waived (most often with new construction). A good Inspector is worth his/her weight in gold. Many property owners are not aware of some problems they have with their own homes. An Inspector will crawl into the crawl space, check electrical and check the attic, not to mention a few.
